DRPL was appointed by Titan Property Developments Ltd as Employer’s Agent for the conversion of existing office accommodation to form 83 contemporary apartments in Reading under permitted development rights and the construction of a new two / three storey extension over the existing accommodation forming 18 additional apartments.
DRPL administered the JCT Design and Build Contract 2011, held fortnightly site meetings and negotiated the cost of the many contract variations. DRPL worked closely with the Developer to produce concise monthly flash reports which the Developer used to present to their funders at their management meetings. DRPL were responsible for agreeing and preparing the monthly statements for payment with the Contractor and also ensuring that the necessary contractual notices were served in a timely manner to protect the interest of the Employer / Client. The contract value was circa. £10 million (£6.8 million conversion and £3.2 million new build).
